# CMS Live user tracking

### Step 1: Open the Live Users Display

Locate the Live Users display in the CMS interface. It is positioned in the header bar at the top of the screen, next to the Knowledge Hub. This area shows who has accessed the current app in their own web browsers and provides controls for interacting with their sessions.

### Step 2: View and Follow a User’s Activity

From the Live Users display, select a user to see what page they are currently editing. You can choose to follow them, which means your view will automatically track their navigation across the CMS as they move between pages.

![2-Oct-08-2026-08-12-50-1176-AM](https://knowledgehub.crowdcomms.com/hs-fs/hubfs/2-Oct-08-2026-08-12-50-1176-AM.jpeg?width=670&height=350&name=2-Oct-08-2026-08-12-50-1176-AM.jpeg)

Once you start following someone, you will receive a notification confirming that you are now following them.

![3-Oct-08-2026-08-12-57-4648-AM](https://knowledgehub.crowdcomms.com/hs-fs/hubfs/3-Oct-08-2026-08-12-57-4648-AM.jpeg?width=670&height=350&name=3-Oct-08-2026-08-12-57-4648-AM.jpeg)

After you begin following, the option associated with that user will change to “Stop following,” allowing you to unfollow them at any time.

### Step 3: Understand How Following Mirrors Navigation

When you are following a user, your view will mirror their navigation. For example, if they click through to the Libraries tab, your screen will also navigate to the Libraries tab. The same applies to the Registration area and any pages within it that they access.

![5-Oct-08-2026-08-13-11-2519-AM](https://knowledgehub.crowdcomms.com/hs-fs/hubfs/5-Oct-08-2026-08-13-11-2519-AM.jpeg?width=670&height=350&name=5-Oct-08-2026-08-13-11-2519-AM.jpeg)![6-Oct-08-2026-08-13-19-6241-AM](https://knowledgehub.crowdcomms.com/hs-fs/hubfs/6-Oct-08-2026-08-13-19-6241-AM.jpeg?width=670&height=350&name=6-Oct-08-2026-08-13-19-6241-AM.jpeg)

### Step 4: Respond to Edit Warnings on Shared Pages

If a user opens a "Page Builder" module, or the registration "Form Builder" and another user is already on that same form, a warning will appear informing you that someone else is currently editing the page.

![7-Oct-08-2026-08-13-26-0851-AM](https://knowledgehub.crowdcomms.com/hs-fs/hubfs/7-Oct-08-2026-08-13-26-0851-AM.jpeg?width=670&height=350&name=7-Oct-08-2026-08-13-26-0851-AM.jpeg)

This warning indicates there may be synchronization issues if multiple users edit the same page simultaneously.

![8-4](https://knowledgehub.crowdcomms.com/hs-fs/hubfs/8-4.jpeg?width=670&height=350&name=8-4.jpeg)

The warning will be removed, once you navigate away from the page.

### Step 5: Locate a User’s Current Page

If you want to see where a specific user currently is in the CMS, use the “Go to Current Page” option in the Live Users display. This will take you directly to the page that user is viewing or editing so you can monitor or assist with their activity.
